Established in 1965, The family owned and operated Carpet Universe is in its 3rd generation of Bearden
Family ownership.
From Selling chenille bedspreads on the side of US41 Hwy in the 1930's to pioneering and altering forever the
way carpet would be distributed and sold Directly. The consumer, builders carpet stores. Nationally and
International. There has been many changes over the years however some things need not be changed. For
they were perfected some 50 years ago. "It is God that blesses us with a customer. It is our responsibility to
serve them just like family. This builds a business. We must never forget this."
